The Order of the Sacred Bull

Taurox was worshipped by the barbarians who attacked St. Aeol. He was an impressive
figure, with the head and tail of a bull, lightning flashing between his iron horns
and dust rising from his hooves. When he stomped his foot houses crumbled and strong
men prostrated themselves in fear. When he swung his axe trees were shattered and
women wept. When he bellowed clouds rushed forth and animals cowered. When St. Aeol
defeated the barbarians, he showed that Taurox was a man, nothing more, though a
powerful man indeed.
The Order of the Sacred Bull is a military low order of the Aeolian church. It's
primary function is to guard against outbreaks from the Footprint and Stonewood.
They are headquartered in the fortress of Bullpen, the order's main chapter house.
From the Pen patrols range around the footprint, and occasionally penetrate into
the footprint to bring the fight against Chaos to its own front door.
The order has two main books: the Examples of Karatch and the Bull's Book.
Sacrificers of the Order are not only holy men, but they must be fighters as well,
accompanying their men in patrols and raids. The Chief Sacrificer is almost never
at Bullpen, but is out in the field except on holy days.

Followers must not be tainted by chaos and must swear to follow the
instructions of their leaders to the letter. |

Karatch and from the Bull's Book.

Members who excel at their skills (three Order skills at 10w2 or better)
may gain extra-normal magic from the Node of St. Taurox. They may integrate
spirits from the Storm Bull tradition, or gain Affinities and Feats from the
Urox cult. |

The Fortress Node of St. Taurox is in a swirling matrix of energy. Demon
attacks are frequent here. |
| Other Connections: |
The Order of the Sacred Bull is a low order of the Aeolian Church. Members
are recognized as fellow Chaos Fighters by the barbarian Storm Bulls, Uroxi
and trollish Zorak Zorani. |
| Disadvantages: |
The Order is practicing Misapplied Worship, and all hero Point costs are
doubled when buying spells or grimoires. Insubordination is punished by
hazardous duty, gross insubordination is punished by leaving the malefactor
in Stonewood. If he comes back to Bullpen, he is forgiven. Followers of the
Order are always on duty, as no-one can predict when the next chaos raid will
occur. |
